Could grey fabric, black fabric and silver fabric be the only colours you ever need? At Loome these tones create timelessly elegant modern and period interiors.
One way to use blacks and greys is to create an essentially monochrome colour scheme, using black for structure and definition, grey for transition, and pale greys and whites for the landscape. A variation of monochrome style is adding in one or two strong accent colours, maybe a pink or a blue, which stand out from the black and white background: very effective.
Black
Black fabric is, interestingly, never quite black; black is the absence of colour and there is always some colour left in a dye. If you choose a black fabric with, for instance, a hint of blue in it then this can be used to tie in blue as an accent colour.

Grey
Grey fabric is so in vogue these days - one simply cannot go wrong with grey. Grey fabric will match pretty much every other colour. A sofa reupholstered in grey can be matched to a different decor every day simply by changing the colour of the scatter cushions.

Silver
Silver fabric is so lush, so rich. It seems to speak of an understated wealth and elegance. Pewter and gunmetal colours are very hard to beat and, like grey, can be matched to virtually all other colours without any fear of creating a mismatch. Silver fabric is, without doubt, a classy look.
